Conditions we treat

Neurological

Vestibular Migraine

Vestibular Migraine

Unlike a common migraine, a vestibular migraine may not always involve pain. It is a nervous system problem that causes repeated episodes of dizziness or vertigo.

  • Common Symptoms: Spontaneous dizziness, light and sound sensitivity, "visual vertigo" in busy environments, motion sickness and feelings of being pulled or pushed in a particular direction. There are scores of other less common symptoms.

  • Our Approach: We first of all review your lifestyle identifying potential triggers. Then develop a personalised, holistic vestibular therapy program to desensitise the nervous system in order to slowly increase your tolerance threshold to triggering stimuli. Manual therapy is a key part of our treatment program for VM.

Parkinson’s Disease

Stroke Parkinsons MS

Neurological conditions can disrupt the pathways between the brain and the body, leading to significant mobility challenges and an increased risk of falls.

  • Common Symptoms: General instability, "freezing" while walking, blurred vision, or a feeling of being pulled to one side.

  • Our Approach: We use neuro-rehabilitation techniques to improve coordination, strength, and "anticipatory" balance, helping you move more safely and confidently in your home and community.

Post-Concussion Syndrome

TBI Post concussion

A traumatic brain injury (TBI) or concussion can "jar" the balance system, leading to a disconnect between what your eyes see and what your inner ear feels.

  • Common Symptoms: Persistent "brain fog," dizziness when moving the head, difficulty concentrating, and feeling "off-balance" even when sitting still.

  • Our Approach: We use a gradual, paced exercise program to help the brain re-integrate sensory information, slowly increasing your tolerance for movement and visual activity.
